AI World Fair coming to Decentraland and Spatial in October
Three-day event on all things AI and future tech proudly produced by Verse Digital and Metaverse Land Company.
A (virtual) world first, Verse Digital is proud to announce the AI World Fair – a three-day event running from October 25th to 27th, hosted across Decentraland and Spatial. The AI World Fair will gather the brightest minds and freshest companies to discuss the big issues in artificial intelligence.
Visitors and players will be exposed to the brands and firms making waves in the space through interactive AI tools, product demonstrations, and insightful keynotes, pitches and panel sessions on the Main Stage.
For sponsors and exhibitors, the AI World Fair will be an incredible opportunity to reach potential partners and customers in a unique gamified ecosystem.
Decentraland is already making serious inroads into the AI space, as covered in this recent article from Decrypt.
Supported by SophiaVerse, Twin Protocol, and the AI development platform Inworld, to name just a few of the well known collaborators, event highlights include:
Keynote and panel sessions featuring global AI experts, available on-demand
Virtual headquarters and booths showcasing AI firms and practitioners
Gamification mechanism on each day of the event, including a Learn & Earn initiative rewarding attendance and participation
Free airdrops and digital collectibles
Explaining the genesis of the event, Verse Digital founder and CEO, Justin Edwards said:
Becoming sentient in Decentraland and Spatial from October 25th to 27th, the AI World Fair is divided into three distinct tracks.
Track 1 – Sci-fi vs Sci-fact
Perhaps the most noticeable characteristic in this ‘Cambrian Explosion’ in AI is the battle to separate reality from fantasy. We’ll break down the key concepts, issues and potential of AI, look at how it is being used across various fields, and try to find some measure of consensus in a bid to improve the conversation.
Track 2 – AI x Humanity: Bane or benefit?
Addressing the key fear of human redundancy, we’ll explore topics like job displacement vs creation, impact on business, regulation and governance, security and data protection, ethics, creativity, and how to strike a balance between fostering innovation and ensuring responsible development and deployment.
Track 3 – The road ahead
Having established some clarity around key talking points and themes in AI, speakers will focus on future developments. These include the rise of super intelligent AI, the promise of singularity, and how AI will work with crypto, Web3 and the metaverse, and hear key announcements from exhibitors and sponsors.
